Hi, I’m Karen Jenkins — homeschool mom, lifelong learner, tennis coach, book club manager, all around volunteer and founder of Chasing Waterfalls Travel. My love for travel and education has always gone hand-in-hand. Long before I became a professional travel advisor, I was teaching my own kids that the world itself is the greatest classroom. History feels different when you’re standing inside a centuries-old castle. Science makes more sense when you’re snorkeling over coral reefs. Geography comes alive when you’re tracing a map that leads to somewhere you’ve actually been.

Homeschooling taught me how to weave curiosity and creativity into everyday life, and that same approach guides how I plan travel experiences for my clients. Whether it’s a family exploring ancient ruins in Italy, a couple seeking a romantic escape to the islands, or a group looking for adventure in the great outdoors  I believe every journey should be meaningful, memorable, and tailored to the traveler.

Through Chasing Waterfalls Travel, I combine the heart of a teacher with the precision of a planner. I specialize in crafting luxury and adventure experiences that are as enriching as they are exciting — from guided tours and river cruises to theme parks, all-inclusive resorts, and custom FIT itineraries. My goal is to help families and travelers of all ages discover the world together, not just as tourists, but as explorers, learners, and storytellers.
